Hot Start Tank Heater

All road-going vehicles in Australia require by law a source of hot air inside the cabin, for the purpose of demisting the front window. Using a tank heater plus electric water pump is an easy solution, allowing you to circulate hot water through the vehicle's existing liquid heat exchanger in the heat box, avoiding the need to disassemble the vehicle dash (as is the case with using electric heating elements), or the expense of reverse cycle air-conditioning. They are rated at up to120v (for 1.5kW of heat) but will happily operate on lower voltages. Dimensions approx 200H x 120W x 100L (mm). It is advisable to add a switch which turns the tank heater on only while the vehicle key is on and the heat setting is activated on the dash, to avoid drawing power when heat is not required.
