Thunder Sky vs Sky Energy Test

by Rod Dilkes, February 2010

The following tests were performed as a comparison between two similar LiFePO4 cell types. The cells are the same size and weight and are listed as 40Ah capacity in the specifications. The cells are approximately the same age - a few months - and were both previously unused. Both were random samples from EV Works Pty Ltd stock.

The third test was repeated twice for the Thunder Sky cell, the second time the cell was charged according to the manufacturers pecification of 4.2V and discharged to 2.5V. All other tests the cells were charged to 3.7V with 1A finishing current.
